Twelve students and two teachers of the Cotton Hills School here were hospitalised on Friday. The police said 11 girl students, one boy from the lower primary section, and two teachers were taken to a hospital after they complained of vomiting after the mid-day meals at the school. One teacher was admitted and the rest were sent home after first aid. The condition of the teacher was stated to be stable. The police said food safety officials had checked the meals and the preliminary assumption was that one of the vegetables used, yam in particular, could have triggered an allergy.
