A team lead by Health Officer, Dr Vinod Sharma along with Food Safety Officers checked godowns of Rice, Wheat and sugar at Nehru Market area of ware house in view of the news published in the various news paper regarding unhygienic conditions of these godowns.
The staff present at the time of checking was asked them to maintain the hygienic conditions of godowns under Food Safety & Standards Act 2006.
Few days back under the directions of Director CAPD 08 (eight) samples of PDS Atta were lifted from the different location i.e. Gangyal, Muthi, Janipur Ration Dept. and Flour mills and sent to Food Analyst for analysis.
Moreover, an awareness camp was organized in the office of the undersigned which was attended by dhaba shopkeepers. The Dhaba owners who have not applied for registration licenses under the FSS Act 2006 have been directed to apply and get their licenses. They were also directed to wear mask, apron, cap, gloves etc while preparing the food items.
The shopkeepers apprised the undersigned that they are not using the polythene carry bags and replace them with the biodegradable bags but as these bags are costly than the polythene bags and the customers are not paying the cost of these bags. However the undersigned have also appealed to the customers consumers not to use polythene bags which are in long run injurious to health, can cause Cancer & impotency.
Undersigned also appealed requested to the customers either to bring their own biodegradable bags or pay for the biodegradable bags as per their costs to the shopkeepers and remove the menace of polythene
