Mobile food testing lab introduced to assess quality of milk
Srinagar: Drugs and Food Control Organisation Tuesday organised a drive against selling of substandard milk in Srinagar.
The drive saw introduction of mobile food testing van to test the quality of milk supplied and sold the city.
Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Measures, Hilal Ahmad Mir told Kashmir Reader that they had complaints about milk sellers selling substandard milk to people in the city.
He said that they held inspection of milk at Srinagar-Jammu highway near Sempora, Panthachowk, Dalgate, Khayam and Alamgari Bazar areas of Srinagar. He assured that the mobile food testing laboratory would help them to maintain standard of food items and people would get quality eatables in the city.
