Tobacco products worth Rs.1 lakh were seized by the Town
Police and handed over to the Food Safety Wing officials here on
Tuesday. According to sources, S.K.Muthukumar (41) of Muneeswaran
Colony, Naranapuram, runs a shop on Bypass Road near Naranapuram Corner.
Following specific information received by Deputy Superintendent of
Police V.Radhakrishnan, a police team comprising Balamurali Krishna,
Pothi, Gnanasekaran and Muthumariappan raided the shop, seized tobacco
products and handed them over to Food Safety Wing officials.
