Four meat shops found in an unhygienic condition in Denkanikottai town in Krishnagiri district were sealed by Food Safety officials on Friday, according to a press release issued here on Saturday. The release said that even after issuing show cause notices by the department, the shops continued to keep and sell beef in unhygienic condition. During the surprise inspection conducted by the officials, beef weighing around 500 kg was seized, according to the press release.
