Tobacco products worth Rs.3 lakh was seized from a house in Edayakkunnam here on Friday. As many as 4,200 packets of chewing tobacco were hidden near the water tank of the house, the police said. The accused, Shajahan , operated a a shop near Edayakkunnam, and he sold the banned substance from there. He allegedly bought the packets from Tamil Nadu for cheap rates.
