Threat to poison water in overhead tanks

Following a letter threatening to mix poison in the water stored in overhead tanks in 4th ward in Kondappanaickenpatti, the tanks were cleaned, here on Friday.
Letter
T. Anuradha, District Designated Officer, Tamil Nadu Food Safety and Drug Administration Department had received a letter on Thursday that bore the sender’s name as Mohammed Rafiq.
The letter said that a group of people were involved in arms training during night time in Jeeva Nagar area and they had killed 19 community dogs that disturbed them.
The letter said that if she interferes in their issue, she would be beheaded.
The letter also warned of mixing poison in water tanks in the above area.
She forwarded the letter to Collector K. Maharabushanam who instructed the Block Development Officer to take up the issue with the Panchayat president R.P. Babu.

Later he lodged a complaint with the Kannankurichi police who registered a case and are investigating
