The Food Safety Commissioner of the Health Department on Monday issued notices to 15 restaurants in the city for allegedly violating the 2011 Food Safety act.
A fine of Rs. 1.45 lakh has been slapped on the restaurants.
The team that raided the restaurants included Assistant Commssioners Joseph Shaji George, P. Radhakrishnan and Food Safety Officers C. P. Pradeep Kumar, C. A Janardhanan, T. K. Radhakrishnan, K. N. Sasikumar, Sujith Pereira and Jose Lawrence.
