Sagar Ratna’s food sample fails to meet parameter, FDA cancels license

Uttar Pradesh The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cancelled the license of Sagar Ratna restaurant for dispensing unsafe and substandard food items violating provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
The food sample drawn for testing failed on the parameters of safety and quality which led to the cancellation of the restaurant’s license.
Earlier in June, the officials drew samples of spices to check whether they are fit for consumption and meet all parameters of standards. All the samples were found to be unsafe and failed to meet the standard criteria.
Moreover, synthetic colour was found in the spices which were not fit for consumption. A case would also be registered for the same against Sagar Ratna.
Besides, FDA also collected samples from Glory sweet shop and it’s samples also failed to meet the parameter of safety and quality.
