V.Surya (12), a Class VII student, was hospitalised after consuming a local brand scented aerated water on Tuesday. He bought it from a shop run by Gobikannan at Thirupadiripuliyur.
When he saw a dead frog in the bottle he developed nausea. On information, Dr M. P. Raja, Food Safety and Drug Administration Designated Officer, inspected the shop and the production unit, at Seetharam Nagar in Karamanikuppam and sealed them.
