Food Safety officers from Rajkot raided the premises of the oil mill after getting a tip-off that the mill was tinning adulterated groundnut oil.
Commissioner of Food Safety and Food and Drug Control Administration officers raided Jay Oil Mill located at Jamwadi village near Gondal town in Rajkot district and seized 588 litres of groundnut oil worth Rs 37,989 on Thursday. Food Safety officers from Rajkot raided the premises of the oil mill after getting a tip-off that the mill was tinning adulterated groundnut oil.
The officers took samples of Kathiyawadi Pure Groundnut Oil and Balgopal groundnut oil and sent them for laboratory tests. An official release said action will be initiated against the mill if samples fail.
