NAGPUR: Reacting to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the state asking Amway Enterprises Ltd to recall or withdraw six of its products from market Jignesh Mehta, the Regional Corporate Communications and CSR Manager, West, Amway India claimed that the company had already withdrawn Bio C from market. He also claimed that the current Recommended Daily Allowance for Indian RDAI limit for Indians is much lower as compared to the WHO or international guidelines, which considers upper safe limits for any nutrient being used in any product.
The FDA has issued the warning to Amway due to objections raised by the product approval committee of the Food Safety and Standards of India (FSSAI). Amway, he said, has updated the product labels indicating the dosage as per RDA for Nutrilite Cal Mag D and Nutrilite Natural B and these products. The old labelled stock of Nutrilite Cal Mag D and Nutrilite Natural B have been recalled.
